Qualcomm and Computers 2 Kids are Celebrating National STEM Day 2022
With a November-December Electronics and Fundraising Drive to Provide Computers to Families in Need

Recent studies show that one in five teens are unable to complete homework assignments because they do not have reliable access to a computer or internet connection in their home. This experience often called the “homework gap” has a lasting impact on the family’s ability to succeed in a digitally connected society. Computers 2 Kids has been working since 2004, advocating for the technologically underserved by providing affordable access to computers and the internet.

Computers 2 Kids has provided 206,000+ computers to the digitally disenfranchised through its Technology Assistance Program and is a national device provider through the Affordable Connectivity Program . C2K developed a first-of-its-kind Technology Assistance Program mobile app, ensuring anyone with a phone has access to low-cost internet and devices. One of the top refurbishers in the nation, C2K is highly effective and efficient, maintaining a combined management/fundraising cost of 3.71%.

The #DigitalGiveBack drive encourages Qualcomm employees and community members to donate funds and/or any used or unused electronics to be properly sanitized, refurbished, and distributed among students in the region who need them most.

When: November 8 – December 24, 2022

- - - The electronic donation site is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 am until 5:00 pm; Saturdays from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm
    - Closed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of Thanksgiving Weekend (November 24-26)

How it works: Computers 2 Kids will collect personal devices (See below for list) and ensure all are sanitized, wiped of all data, and refurbished to be disseminated to those in need.
